The things Central Coast gardeners ask us most — about shipping, returns, and getting the best from what you plant.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We ship US-only, to all 50 states. Most orders are packed and dispatched within one to two business days, then travel 2–6 business days by USPS or UPS depending on distance. Full details are on our Shipping Policy page.
What does shipping cost?
A flat $7.95 per order, and free on orders over $75. Heavy or bulk soil and amendments may carry a weight-based rate, always shown at checkout before you pay.
How do I track my order?
We email a tracking number the moment your order ships. If it has not updated within two business days of dispatch, write to support@primebioworks.store and we will trace it.
What is your return policy?
Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days. Opened soil, amendments and seed are final sale for health reasons, but anything that arrives damaged or defective is replaced or refunded at no cost. See Returns & Refunds.
How can I pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure Square checkout. Your card details are never stored on our servers.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes — many soil, amendment and pot lines are available by the case or pallet. Email support@primebioworks.store with the items and quantities and we will send a quote.
How much soil or how many bags do I need?
As a rule of thumb, one cubic foot of mix fills roughly a 2 ft × 2 ft bed to a 3-inch depth, or about three to four one-gallon containers. Tell us your bed or container size and we will help you order the right amount.
Are your seeds heirloom, and how should I store them?
Our seed is open-pollinated and heirloom wherever noted on the listing. Keep unopened packets somewhere cool, dry and dark — a lidded jar in a closet is ideal — and most stay viable for several seasons.
When should I plant on the Central Coast?
Our mild fall is a second planting window: cool-season greens, brassicas, peas, garlic and spring bulbs go in from September. Warm-season crops — tomatoes, beans, squash and basil — wait until the soil warms in spring. Not sure? Email us and we will point you to the right season.
How do I care for terracotta and stoneware pots?
Soak new unglazed terracotta before first use, empty pots before a hard frost so trapped water cannot crack them, and scrub off mineral crust with a stiff brush and water between plantings. Our glazed stoneware is more weather-tolerant but happier out of standing water.
